mickey's trick or treat halloween

thursday night we had tickets to go to disneyland for their halloween trick or treat night. we headed out with the thompson family and the swiss family. they had some super cute costumes. we had tons of fun. the kids walked around california adventure and went trick or treating at the different stations, then we rode some rides. the kids got tons of candy and had a blast. the adults got tons of candy and had a blast too! grace was dressed as dorothy from the wizard of oz (many million thanks to nana for making the beautiful costume!!!!) and raegan was the cowardly lion.

this is gracie before we left, complete with toto in a little basket!

yes, in our family shot (the only one we have...) raegan has her finger in her nose. nice.

makayle was dressed as the wicked witch, so we almost have a complete wizard of oz set....

while we were there, we saw cinderella and belle, but there was a huge line to get a hug and a picture. so, we just went up to where they were standing, but we were still behind the rope keeping them separate. i was standing there with grace and cinderella came over to tell her what a cute costume she had and gave her a hug. she was very surprised and it was so cute! so, when i looked back to see what bry was doing with raegs, he was just standing there with the camera in his hand, but not taking a picture. nice again.

there were these 2 guys dressed as scarecrows at the entrance to bugs land. he called over to us since grace was dorothy and we went over to take a picture with him. raegan could not stop looking at him! not even for a picture.

it was a long night, the kids fell asleep around 10 and we didn't get home until 11. but we had a blast. i'm glad that we went on the last halloween before we move!

so stinkin cute!! grace's costume is so great! mom, you did an awesome job!! did you also make the shirt? i love the puffy sleeves!! and raegs looks beautiful too!! i was going to tell you jim, i put red bows on aurora's costume b/c the lion in the wizard of oz gets bows after they get all spiffed up in oz, remember? and i also put one on the end of the tail. it was really cute!! and that way no one confused her for a boy :) (its kind of hard to tell with the hood on ya know?) anyway, very cute! looks like tons of fun. once again, i wish we lived in ca!

Cut kids! Sounds like fun. We never did the disney trick or treat thing but it looks like a lot of fun.
Glad you enjoy my music too. It makes me laugh that your girls dance to it too!

The girls look so cute in the costumes! Be sure to take pictures when you and Bry dress up. I like the scarecrow, he looks like the one in the wizard of oz! He would have probably scared you and Rach when you were the girls age. :) I can't believe you will be gone from California next summer. The time has gone by pretty fast and I am glad you have gotten to enjoy so many neat things there.
Love you all tons and tons and miss you tons. Give the girls lots of hugs from nana!!!
